Forbes is hiring a Business Intelligence Analyst within our Business Intelligence team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and curious individual to join a dynamic and growing team.

The Business Intelligence Analyst will help support a wide array teams including sales, marketing, product, and business development to craft compelling data-driven stories to take to market as well as generate meaningful and actionable insights. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, a team player interacting well with multifunctional team members, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has a background in data and analytics.


• Analyze data to find trends, patterns, and insights from complex data sets from a wide range of platforms and sources and in a format presentable to upper management
• Provide regular and ad hoc syndicated research for the sales and marketing teams in response to RFPs as well as proactively monitor syndicated research data for unforeseen or underutilized opportunities and for accurate correlations with first-party data
• Formulate regular and ad hoc analyses of cross-channel, cross-platform, and cross-segment analyses drawing from both third-party and first-party data sources of traffic, audience, content, social, and advertising
• Contribute to the analysis of site performance and A/B testing to generate key insights
• Filter, clean, and locate human and technical errors in large data sets
• Assist in automating reporting for transparency and communication across the organization
• Own various internal and client-facing documents and work to improve efficiency and accuracy of data, reports, and dashboards

Qualifications / Experience

• Undergraduate degree from a top university in a STEM discipline
• One to three years of relevant work experience in analytics and research in digital media
• Strong Excel skills, with knowledge in advanced formulas and interactive charting
• Experience with SQL and data visualization tools (Google BigQuery and Domo preferred)
• Experience with Web Measurements (Google Analytics, Moat, social media tracking, and comScore a plus)
• Experience with A/B testing methodologies, statistical measurements, and platforms (Optimizely, Google Optimize a plus)
• Must have strong analytical skills, curiosity, a passion for working with numbers, and willingness to learn
• Possess strong attention to detail while being able to maintain focus on the big picture
• Ability to self-motive and work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment
• Strong communication skills and can clearly communicate data findings in laypeople’s language to various audiences with differing degrees of research and technical knowledge
